On any day during the summer season, High Sierra Pools’ lifeguards and staff ensure the safety of hundreds of pools and thousands of patrons. To accomplish this, we employ year-round professionals as well as qualified seasonal staff focused on our core values of safety, service and teamwork.
Lifeguarding for High Sierra is more than just a job: it’s the chance to be an integral part of a community and a role model to the youth that swim there. Our management knows the Company’s greatest resource is our staff, and we strive to build solid teams that will make each workday safe and enjoyable for both themselves and their patrons.
In addition to seasonal staff, High Sierra Pools hires full-time lifeguards for our indoor facilities and may have openings throughout the year for service staff, supervisors, managers, etc. Check out our available positions and apply for those that match your qualifications and interest. In order to comply with child labor laws, High Sierra Pools has the following age requirements: Lifeguard applicants for all outdoor multi-guard facilities must be at least 16 years of age by the time they would begin work. Applicants for summer pool managers, lifeguards at single-guard pools and indoor pool lifeguards must be at least 18 years of age.
All lifeguard staff must be certified by the American Red Cross in Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR-AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
